Saudi Red Crescent Authority.. An Integrated Healthcare System Inside the Grand Mosque

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority continues to provide emergency medical services inside the Grand Mosque and the surrounding central areas, as part of an integrated health-care system aimed at enhancing rapid response to emergencies and serving the Guests of Allah with high efficiency.
The Authority’s role in this system is highlighted through responding to emergencies and providing initial emergency care inside the Holy Mosque, in coordination with the health entities operating within the Grand Mosque, in a model that reflects the level of coordination among various healthcare sectors to serve pilgrims and visitors.
The Authority operates within a joint system comprising 17 healthcare entities from government sectors, the private medical sector, and the nonprofit sector. Continuous coordination is carried out with hospitals and health centers in the central area, in addition to supporting emergency services and field deployment plans, thereby contributing to faster responses to emergencies.
Emergency teams are deployed inside the Grand Mosque, its courtyards, and the surrounding central areas through foot teams, emergency centers, and various stationed points, alongside the use of light and advanced emergency vehicles that help reach cases quickly in sites with high crowd density. This integrated system contributes to the rapid handling of emergencies and the provision of highly efficient emergency care, reflecting the efforts devoted by the Kingdom to serving the Guests of Allah inside the Grand Mosque.
