His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi, Governor of Jeddah, joined the governorate staff in attending the “First Eight” course conducted by the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in the Makkah Region at the governorate headquarters. The course was held as part of the Authority’s efforts to promote first-aid awareness and enhance the readiness of government employees to handle emergencies before ambulance teams arrive.
The course included training participants in essential first-aid skills, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), and responding to choking, bleeding, and loss of consciousness, in addition to the principles of assessing a condition and the proper procedures for assisting injured persons during the first few minutes, thereby increasing the chances of saving lives.
The course is part of the training and awareness programs implemented by the Saudi Red Crescent Authority to enable community members and government employees to acquire essential first-aid skills and enhance rapid response to emergencies, positively contributing to community safety and quality of life.
