“Makkah Education” Launches the Facility First-Aid Safety Project in Partnership with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority

The General Administration of Education in the Makkah Region, represented by the Capacity Development Department, launched today the Facility First-Aid Safety Project in cooperation with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, in the presence of the Assistant Director General for Educational Affairs at Makkah Education, Dr. Ali Al-Jalouq, and the Deputy Director General of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority’s branch in the Makkah Region, Dr. Ahmed Al-Ghamdi.
Dr. Ali Al-Jalouq emphasized that the project exemplifies institutional integration between the educational and health sectors and contributes to strengthening quality-of-life and safety objectives within the school environment. He highlighted the pivotal role of families in instilling first-aid safety concepts among children by raising awareness of preventive practices and supporting the acquisition of first-aid skills, thereby contributing to building a more aware and prepared society capable of dealing with emergencies.
He explained that the project is part of Makkah Education’s efforts to enhance a safe educational environment and establish concepts of prevention and rapid response, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to improve the quality of educational and health services.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Al-Ghamdi praised the effective partnership with Makkah Education, stressing the Saudi Red Crescent Authority’s support for first aid training and qualification initiatives in the educational field, explaining that the project directly integrates with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives to enhance quality of life and public health, and contributes to spreading first aid awareness and raising the level of readiness to deal with various emergency cases, in order to save lives and enhance health security.
The program included honoring participants and supporters, followed by the launch of the first first-aid workshop, which covered the fundamentals of first aid and the proper handling of emergency injuries.
The project includes three specialized tracks: the medical administration track, the compliance track, and the first-aid track.
The activities concluded with field first-aid drills conducted with the participation of the first-aid team, aiming to practically apply the acquired skills and assess the level of preparedness.
