The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in the Madinah Region conducted the “First Eight” course, aimed at enabling teachers of Quran study groups at the Prophet’s Mosque to acquire essential first-aid skills. This enhances their readiness to handle emergencies and contributes to safeguarding the students and attendees of the groups.

The Director General of the branch, Dr. Ahmed Al-Zahrani, stated that the course is an extension of the Authority’s efforts to promote first-aid awareness and strengthen community preparedness. He noted that Quran study group teachers represent an important pillar of society, and equipping them with these skills contributes to the rapid handling of emergencies and raises safety standards within educational groups, reflecting the Authority’s humanitarian mission to protect lives and promote preventive awareness.
The course is part of the Authority’s programs aimed at building a community better prepared to respond to emergencies, instilling the concept of social responsibility, and enabling community members to acquire lifesaving skills, in line with the Authority’s objectives of enhancing quality of life and community safety.
