Rapid Response and Air Ambulance Services by the Red Crescent in Madinah to Serve Pilgrims

Al Madinah Region Red Crescent Authority continues to provide emergency and humanitarian services to pilgrims, coinciding with the ongoing arrival of pilgrims at the Prophet’s Mosque and visitation sites in Madinah.

The branch director, Dr. Ahmed Al-Zahrani, explained that emergency medical teams continue their field operations around the clock to ensure emergency care for pilgrims and visitors during their stay in Madinah. Teams are deployed throughout the Prophet’s Mosque, its courtyards, and high-density areas, helping them reach emergencies quickly and provide the necessary medical assistance.

He noted that the Authority has mobilized its human and operational resources to support this phase by operating emergency teams, rapid-response units, electric carts, and golf carts, in addition to maintaining full readiness of air ambulances to enhance response times and handle emergencies according to the highest emergency-care standards.
