SRCA in Madinah Provides Emergency Services to Pilgrims

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Al Madinah Region provides emergency and humanitarian services to pilgrims, coinciding with the arrival of pilgrims at the Prophet’s Mosque and visitation sites in Madinah.
The Director of the Authority’s branch in the Madinah Region, Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Zahrani, explained that emergency teams continue their field operations around the clock to ensure emergency medical care for pilgrims and visitors during their stay in Madinah by deploying emergency teams at the Prophet’s Mosque and its courtyards, as well as high-density locations, helping ensure rapid access to emergencies and the provision of necessary emergency services.
He stated that the operational plan includes deploying emergency teams, rapid intervention units, electric carts, and golf carts to serve beneficiaries, in addition to full readiness for air ambulance services, with the aim of enhancing response speed and handling emergencies according to the highest emergency care standards. He added that the region’s medical dispatch center continues to receive reports through the number (997) and the “Asefni” application, while monitoring the performance of emergency teams in the field to ensure rapid response and high-quality services for pilgrims and visitors.
He affirmed that the Authority coordinates with response partners and relevant entities to enhance operational readiness and continue providing highly efficient emergency services, contributing to safeguarding pilgrims and visitors to Madinah.
