His Excellency the President of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, Dr. Jalal Al-Owaisi, honored Arkan Association for Awareness, Search and Rescue in recognition of its pioneering role in providing emergency services to visitors and pilgrims at the Sacred House of Allah, during his visit to the volunteer associations operating at the Grand Mosque.
His Excellency presented the commemorative shield to the Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, in appreciation of the association’s distinguished efforts in providing emergency assistance and support to injured pilgrims and visitors. He expressed his pride in the significant role played by volunteer associations in serving the Guests of Allah.
For his part, the association’s Chairman, Dr. Ali Al-Zahrani, expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques—may Allah preserve him—and his trustworthy Crown Prince for their continued support of volunteer work. He also thanked the Saudi Red Crescent Authority and the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, represented by the General Administration for Coordinating Volunteer Work, for facilitating the association’s operations and enabling it to serve the Guests of Allah with a high degree of efficiency.
It is worth noting that Arkan Association for Awareness, Search and Rescue is licensed by the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development. It has provided its volunteer services at the Grand Mosque for the fifth consecutive year, with the participation of emergency medical personnel and crowd management teams during the blessed month of Ramadan and the Hajj season.
