Saudi Red Crescent Launches 2028 Strategy for a New Phase of Readiness and Development

Dr. Jalal bin Mohammed Al-Owaisi, President of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, launched the Authority’s 2028 Strategy during a ceremony organized by the Authority and attended by its leadership and staff.
The strategy represents a phase of transformation and development aimed at enhancing the readiness of the emergency medical system and improving the quality of services provided, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and strengthening the Authority’s ability to respond effectively and serve the community with high efficiency.
It is based on four main pillars. The first is providing standardized and effective emergency medical services by expanding emergency medical coverage, enhancing response speed, and improving outcomes for critical cases. The second focuses on achieving sustainability and diversity in funding by improving operational efficiency and diversifying sources of support, contributing to the continued development of emergency medical services.
The third pillar aims to enhance community readiness to respond to emergency medical situations in public places by raising awareness and providing first-aid training. The fourth concerns building a thriving, future-ready Authority by investing in human resources, developing technical capabilities, and strengthening institutional transformation.
Dr. Al-Owaisi, President of the Authority, affirmed that launching the strategy embodies the Authority’s commitment to continued development, enhanced readiness, and moving forward with a clear vision toward a more efficient and prepared future in service of humanity.
The ceremony featured a review of the Authority’s journey and achievements, as well as a presentation of the strategy’s pillars and future objectives, reflecting the Authority’s commitment to continuing to develop its emergency medical services and strengthening its role in serving the community.
