The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque announced today the launch of a first-aid volunteer framework for national associations, in partnership with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority. The initiative aims to promote a culture of voluntarism and enhance the efficiency of the emergency response system within the Two Holy Mosques, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The framework organizes first-aid volunteer work within an integrated system that ensures unified procedures and coordinated efforts among volunteer organizations, thereby contributing to the highest standards of quality and safety in serving the Guests of Allah.
The Authority explained that the framework sets out the general conditions for the participation of volunteer associations, including that the volunteer organization must be officially accredited and registered with the relevant authorities, and that its team must include licensed healthcare practitioners or holders of accredited specialized certificates, such as Basic Life Support (BLS), in addition to full compliance with the instructions of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority and the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques.
The Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques stated that participating first-aid associations are responsible for providing personnel and medical and first-aid equipment, in accordance with what is agreed upon with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, ensuring the readiness of field teams and the effectiveness of the response under various circumstances.
The Authority called on volunteer associations wishing to participate to submit an official application that includes team data, specializations, areas of work, and members’ names, via the following email: Volunteer@gph.gov.sa.
It affirmed that this framework reflects its ongoing commitment to developing the service system within the Two Holy Mosques and strengthening partnerships with national entities, contributing to enhancing the experience of the Guests of Allah and achieving the highest levels of safety and care.
