During 2025, the Medical Dispatch Center at the Saudi Red Crescent Authority branch in Riyadh Region received a total of (426603) calls, ranging from emergency reports to inquiries. These included (244750) emergency reports involving cases requiring emergency services.
The branch explained that (96384) of these cases were transported to hospitals, while emergency medical care was provided at the report site to (148366) cases without the need for transport, following assessment by specialized medical teams.
It emphasized that these cases were handled by qualified and trained medical personnel, using modern and advanced medical equipment available in ambulances, ensuring emergency care was provided according to the highest professional standards. It called on community members to help reduce response times by cooperating with emergency teams, giving way to ambulances as they respond to emergencies, avoiding crowds at accident sites, and not following ambulances while they transport patients, as this directly contributes to reaching cases quickly and saving lives.
The branch stressed the importance of requesting ambulance services in emergencies by calling (997), or through the “Asefni” app, which helps expedite reporting and accurately determine the caller’s location, enabling ambulance teams to reach the scene in the shortest possible time.
