Agreement to establish the Emergency Fund

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority signed a cooperation agreement with the Health Endowment Fund to launch a strategic partnership aimed at supporting and sustaining ambulance services in the Kingdom, through the establishment of the ambulance fund, which enhances the readiness of the ambulance system and raises the efficiency of response to emergency medical cases, within the framework of institutional integration that keeps pace with the objectives of raising the efficiency of the health sector and saving lives.
The agreement stipulates the establishment of an emergency fund concerned with financing emergency activities and services, and enabling the collection of endowment and non-endowment donations to support emergency work, in accordance with the approved regulatory and legal frameworks, in a way that contributes to enhancing the operational readiness of emergency services in the long term.
The partnership aims to direct the fund’s proceeds to support priority critical response programs, enhance the efficiency of handling emergencies, improve response speed and service quality, and contribute to saving lives.
