The conference is organised by the Lebanese Red Cross in coordination with the IFRC.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr Al-Owaisi chairs the \u201cFrom Amman to Beirut\u201d session, dedicated to following up on the outcomes of the 2024 Amman Declaration, reviewing progress made over the past two years, examining national responses to regional crises and the resulting humanitarian needs, and discussing priorities related to the Beirut Declaration.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr Al-Owaisi emphasized the importance of strengthening integration among National Societies and exchanging expertise and capabilities. He highlighted the importance of \u201cmoving from a region that shares crises to one that shares capabilities, and cooperating before crises, not only during them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He noted that the Saudi Red Crescent Authority\u2019s approach focuses on strengthening preparedness ahead of crises and harnessing technology to empower volunteers and accelerate access to people in need, while promoting sustainability to ensure the continuity of its humanitarian mission.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The conference, held every two years to discuss the priorities of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement in the region, brings together high-level participants under the patronage of the President of the Lebanese Republic.
